Heritage Sealed Unit
Product Information
As specialist manufacturers of heritage double-glazed units for period properties, we produce durable high performance double-glazed units in overall thickness of 10mm and 12mm with sightlines of 8mm
As standard, our heritage sealed units are manufactured using 4mm composite microbead desiccant filled Thermoseal Thermobar in Grey, Black or White combined with Argon gas filled voids which, when combined, offers an increased thermally efficient starting point which can be improved upon dependent upon glass type and configuration.
This unit configuration enables period properties to benefit from energy efficient double-glazed units whilst replicating the original design of their period windows, including the narrow glazing bars which are so important in maintaining an authentic appearance.
Our heritage sealed units are available in a wide choice of glass types including float, toughened, laminated and reproduction Crown glass necessary in achieving a distorted reflection of original conservation windows.
Our high-performance sealed units can be installed to new frames or as replacements into existing traditional windows and doors subject to sufficient rebate depths.
If you intend installing your heritage units in critical areas such as low-level windows or doors or need to achieve a certain U-Value, then the 3mm glass option is not possible. A 4mm glass type will be necessary as 4mm glass can be supplied in toughened, laminated or a wide range of energy efficient options.
